Peter C. Ghiz Law

Peter graduated Dalhousie University in 1977 (B. Comm) 1979 (M.B.A.) and 1988
(L.L.B.) He became a member of the Law Society of Prince Edward Island in 1989 and
the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society in 1994.
He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, a past board member of the
Community Legal Information Association and Hospice PEI. Currently he sits on the
Real Property and the Unauthorized Practice Committees of the Law Society of Prince
Edward Island. He is a member of the Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of
Commerce.
Peter has a well-established and recognized practice. Apart from his regular practice,
he is frequently retained to litigate various public interest matters. In appropriate cases,
he has provided services pro bono.
He has practiced continuously for over 25 years representing local, national, and
international clients. His legal advice is candid and honest. He is results oriented and
works for his clients to achieve the best possible result with the least cost. His practice

Peter has been involved with a wide variety of litigation and business law engagements.
He practiced throughout the maritime provinces providing services to a wide variety of
clients. Many cases have involved more difficult and complex matters. Peter has
practiced in all levels of court including the Supreme Court of Canada.

or in such subsidiary roles as providing opinions on legal points or secondary opinions
and research.
